The historic home you’ve always wanted to see!

Built in 1937, the new brick Tudor was featured in the Rushville Times as “one of the finest in the City.” The build was completed for Karl and Hildreth Schafer based on a similar home they viewed in St. Louis. Purchased in August 2019, the home has been restored and preserved with original materials and finishes including original rough-texture plaster, ornate crown moldings, hardwood floors, and other details. Guided tours will be given by reservation for groups of 4-6 people every half-hour from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on December 26, 27, and 28.  A suggested donation of $10 per person will be collected at the door.
